I’ve been a traveler for a while and have a special place for water bodies in my heart. Every Time I saw an island I wondered of putting up a tent there and camping. As time passed by this feeling became very intense and just recently I bought my very own Kayak.

Today I drove down to Vaitarna reservoir which is around 130km from Mumbai with Samprati and Divya to unbox the kayak. Added another feather to my traveler’s hat and the experience cannot be expressed.

At this reservoir if you want to camp then the best place is Saturli Village. This placed is even marked on google maps. It has a flat land along the waterbody and best for camping. One can easily take there car and motorcycles to this area.

We were having airtel and vodafone and only vodafone worked. There are only 1 or 2 food points in nearby village so if you are planning to camp here then take your food and water along. Villagers are very supportive and place is overall safe.

It was mesmerizing to travel in between mangrove forest. An experience which I can not define in words and so here is a small video.This is how local people travel from one Island to another nearby Island. This is our ferry from Long Island to Rangat. This one hour ride gives you some amazing views of mangrove forest and reflections in the water is breathtaking.

Believe it or not but this place is in India. When I first saw this place I was speechless and thought why we run behind foreign locations when India itself has some unique ones. Little Andaman is surprisingly little known and not much people know about it. Main tourist crowd goes to havelock and neil but there are some hidden treasures in little andaman like this lagoon. Little Andaman is one of the largest Island in Andamans, yet it’s remote location makes it the least visited. Those that do make the journey will stumble across pristine beaches, waterfalls, astonishingly cheap food, alcohol and accommodation, locals so friendly they feel like family.

At Kalapathar, three large rocks guarding the mighty Indian Ocean forming a natural pool where water can only enter through the large holes of the cave. Maximum depth of water across the pool 6 ft. Plus a lonely beach with no one around.

Enjoy this drone video of Aaravi Beach. Aaravi is a small stretch of beach tucked away from everything located between Shrivardhan and Diveagar on the coastal highway connecting Harihareshwar to Diveagar. Aaravi is a stretch of beach which can be visited during a sightseeing trip from Harihareshwar to Diveagar or Murud .

Located in the Konkan coast of Maharashtra, Diveagar is a famous beachside village, which is at a distance of approximately 5 km from Shrivardhan. The village is situated in the Raigad District, which is densely covered with betel nut and coconut trees.

Characteristic of white sand and crystal clear water, this beach is surrounded by Suru trees, which are rarely found on this coast. There is a fishing settlement located at one end of the beach, while the other end houses a sanctuary of migratory seagulls.

The village also houses a temple, which is another major attraction in the destination. Dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the temple has an idol, which has a mask made of pure gold. This mask was found by Draupadi Dharma Patil on 17th November 1997, while she was digging in her betel nut farm. She found a copper box in the farm which contained the gold mask of Lord Ganesha. Two other major attractions are the Sundernarayan Temple and the Suvarnaganesha Temple.

The nearest airport is the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, located in Mumbai, at a distance of approximately 200 km from the village.

October to December is the ideal time to visit the beach destination.
